Florida Has Some of the Unhappiest Workers in the Country – According to a Recent Survey

0

According to recent studies, workers in the Sunshine State are among the least satisfied in the nation.

In a national poll, SelectSoftware Reviews rated every state according to factors such as earnings, rates of quitting, commutes, working hours, accidents, paid time off, and state optimism.

The company was established in 2018 and offers “in depth reviews and buyer guides” to assist “organizations in finding and purchasing the right HR and recruiting tools.”

Florida earned just 30.46 on the SSR survey, placing it at No. 48 for employment happiness, while the happiest state had a score of 69.96.

“With an average salary of $38,470 and a long workweek of 41.5 hours, the average Floridian makes only $18 per hour as opposed to $32 per hour in Alaska.” Overall employee happiness is negatively impacted by this and the state’s absence of PTO rules, according to SSR’s blog post.

Alaska topped the list, partly because of 31.3-hour work weeks and $52,000 average pay. At $58,450, Massachusetts has the highest average salary of any state. With an average commute of 33.5 minutes, New York had the longest commute of any state on the list.

Although many individuals would believe that a job is the same anywhere you go, these findings show that location can have a significant impact on an employee’s job satisfaction, whether that impact is brought on by pay, commute times, or state legislation. The company added, “It highlights how important it is for employers to create environments where employees can thrive and find genuine fulfillment.”

SelectSoftware Reviews used Bankrage, Paycor, Scholaroo, Stats America, and the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics to collect their statistics.
